Lana R. Stover-Henderson grew up in Berrien Springs where she was a 12-year Senior 4-H Award recipient and received several champion/reserve champion awards on her Fair exhibits until she entered the United States Air Force in 1978.  Lana served our country in the USAF for 28 years and retired a CMSgt/E9 from the Pentagon in Washington DC in January 2006.  She and her family returned to Berrien Springs where they now reside.  Lana started her “dream job” in April 2010 as the Fair Manager, now she spends every day at the Fair!  Lana is married and has two daughters.

Gail Holmes, Office Coordinator

Gail exhibited at the fair from age 7 to 19.  Her children also exhibited at the fair and now her grandchildren are starting.  Gail was an active volunteer as a youth with her mother and then as an adult.  She volunteered in the Home Ec area and the Entry Office before joining the staff of BCYF in June of 1998.  Now her daughters, Kristina & Amy are 3rd generation to volunteer in the Entry Office.  Gail resides in Eau Claire with husband Dennis.

Jill has worked at the Fair for just over 3 years.  She comes to us with a hospitality degree from Grand Valley State University.  Jill comes from a Fair family and exhibited at the Fair starting at age 5 and going until age 20.  Back then she was known as Jill Cuthbert.  After her time as an Exhibitor Jill volunteered in various departments such as Swine and Home Economics until she was hired here at the Fair.  Just like many other stories we've been told over the years, she just so happened to meet her husband at the Fair!  She and her husband Steve reside in Buchanan.

Shawn Wolske, Office Assistant

Shawn has been involved with the fair since 1995 as a supplier of fair gear. In 2006 she started shutting down her business the week of fair to be able to volunteer in any way she could. She was hooked!  In 2009 she sold her business and enjoyed her leisure life for awhile but she was ready to get back to work. In 2010 she could not have found a better place to work than BCYF.  Shawn is married and has 2 grown daughters.

Grounds

Dito Weiss, Full-time Maintenance Worker  

Dito has been working full-time since May of 2010.  He is a licensed pesticide applicator and helps in maintaining of grounds and buildings.  He welds, builds, plumbs and fixes equipment.  He also helps to set up for and tear down from events, including turning on and off of the PA.  A local Berrien Springs resident, Dito has fond memories of attending the BCYF as a child.  Now, as a father, he is proud to see his 3 children - Jacqui, Andres and Elena - show at the fair!

Jerry Turner

Jerry joined the Maintenance Staff full time in the summer of 2011.  Jerry resides in Berrien Springs with his wife Terri.  He has 2 adult children, Justin and Jaime.  Jerry has many fond memories of the fair as a young boy and then bringing his children to the fair.  Now he looks forward to bringing his 3 grandchildren.

Larry Nelson 

Larry Nelson has been on the grounds staff with BCYF for 39 years.  He was an Exhibitor at the fair since he was 5 yrs. old.  Larry was in the service for 4 years and then came back to volunteer and work for BCYF.  He has been a big part of BCYF in all areas.
